I spend a lot of time in Dennis — showing homes along 6A, walking clients through Dennisport listings near the harbor, and yes, eating my way through both villages in between showings. Dennis splits into two very different dining personalities. Dennis Village and the 6A corridor lean historic, art-gallery-adjacent, and quietly upscale — think sea captain's houses turned into wine bars. Dennisport, a few miles south on Nantucket Sound, is where the harbor and beach crowd eats — louder, more casual, more lobster roll per square foot. Dennis Village & the 6A Side: Where I Send Clients First

Fin (800 Main St) is the kind of place I bring out-of-town buyers when I want them to fall in love with the Cape. Chef-driven seafood, locally sourced, and the striped bass specials are worth building a dinner reservation around your closing schedule.

Pecorino Romano (605 Main St) is a Tuscan spot that's been a 6A fixture for years. Closed Sundays, open evenings only (4–9 PM), moderately priced. Scargo Cafe (799 Main St) is, by volume of glowing reviews, the most consistently loved restaurant in Dennis Village. The Pheasant (905 Route 6A) is the special-occasion pick. Meridian at the Lighthouse Inn (1 Lighthouse Inn Rd, West Dennis) recently changed ownership and renovated — waterfront deck seating, a fire pit on the beach, and strong early reviews under the new operators. Worth watching; this is the kind of property upgrade that tends to lift a whole stretch of neighborhood over time.

The Oyster Company (17 South St, Dennis Port) is a nautical-tavern-style seafood spot with a loyal following — cioppino is the signature dish, open evenings, moderate pricing. Solid, dependable, and walkable from several Dennisport neighborhoods.
